Cashflow Is King

I recently visited a growing IT business in the M5 corridor – that hot bed of entrepreneurial IT businesses.

During our conversation, the MD described how they had grown from the original two partners in a small office in Hounslow to their present stunning barn conversion on the outskirts of Reading. The business now has some eight staff on site and a further three programmers working from their homes at far flung locations such as Scotland and Lincolnshire!

But, and there’s always a ‘but’, although they had a great product and good sales, their business was being strangled by cash flow problems.
