Businesspeople need to get past the idea that online marketing is all about gimmicks, and learn to give their audience what they really want, says social marketing expert David Meerman Scott in his latest business television show.

On the show, produced by yourBusinessChannel, Scott shares expert tips on getting your customers talking about your business and your products, and sharing your story with all their contacts. Scott calls this a ‘World Wide Rave’.

They key, he says, is to provide lots of strong content that people will want to read, download, and share online. This content might be funny, interesting, outrageous, or very valuable - but it’s got to be something your audience realty wants.
